Hi! My name is Jo Farmer. I have known Jim Jackson for over ten
years, and have recently gotten to know Lauren. I purchased a couple of
horses from Stonewall Farms and have always been pleased. While working
on an advanced degree I sold my horses so that I could concentrate on
school. In May 2009 I purchased (on my own) a Spotted Saddle Horse. I
had a friend (not connected with Jim or Lauren) who was helping me get
"back in the saddle". This friend told me that the mare was going to
hurt me because she acted up when he "forcefully" corrected her....this
was done with severe spurs and a whip! There is just something I love
about this mare.....I was not willing to sell her....I sent her to Jim
and Lauren.........that is the BEST DECISION I could have made for my
horse.
Jim told me up front that he would let me know what kind of horse I had
in Maggie. This I knew before I sent her there. Jim has always been a
straight shooter, and in the horse business this is rare! I knew I could
trust him to tell me the truth. Lauren has been in charge of Maggie's
riding schedule. Within a couple of days Jim and Lauren both told me
that I had a very good horse......most importantly she is not going to
intentionally hurt me. I began slowly riding Maggie in the enclosed
arena. She stands still for mounting, and does not move off until I cue
her. She listens to me, responds to me and we really connect. I must add
that I have two artificial hips, and I'm 58, so this mounting procedure
is important to me. I love my horse!
Two nights ago Lauren and I went on my first trail ride.....I had the
time of my life.....my horse took care of me...I've heard that said
before but have never experienced it....that evening I did. I froze up
when we had to ride for a short distance on the road....Lauren talked me
through, and Maggie stayed true to Lauren and Jim's word. She took care
of me. As a horse owner what more could I ask?
I just want to say "thank you" Jim and Lauren. Oftentimes we don't let
people know how much they mean in our lives. I'm glad that you have
allowed Maggie and myself into yours. If anyone is reading this that has
never dealt with Stonewall Farms, Jim Jackson or Lauren, I can assure
you that you are dealing with an honest horseman/woman. The Walking
Horse industry needs more professional like Jim. Thank you again, guys,
from the bottom of my heart.

To Those in the Walking Horse Industry:
I have worked with Lauren Smith of Stonewall Farms for more than eight
years with horse training, breeding, and horse sales. She has
demonstrated a wonderful initiative and a positive attitude toward
meeting our needs. Both are qualities that we put a lot of credence in.
It is with pride that I recommend both Lauren, and Stonewall Farms, for
any of your Walking Horse needs.
While showing us around the Mid TN trails, Lauren
helped us to identify what we really wanted and needed in a good trail
horse. She also identified our need for a horse that could easy carry a
number of different riders. Lauren found us exactly what we were looking
for - she found the way to make things 800 miles apart, go more smoothly
and did it all with a smile. We will sincerely appreciate that
everything was accurate in her assessment of our needs as well as the
choice of horses that she offered to us. Each horse was exactly as she
stated.
Lauren’s attitude, application of effort and
innovative spirit will be strong assets to anyone looking for Walking
Horse training, sales or breeding. Please do not hesitate to call me if
you would like more information about this recommendation.
Most Sincerely,

DREAMSCAPE FARMS TWHs
I trust that all is going well with you. Linda and
I certainly enjoyed our visit to Stonewall Horse Farm and the tour. You
really have some beautiful horses. With your Stallions and Broodmares no
wonder you have a great crop of foals year after year.
We appreciate the information as to accommodations for our overnight
stay in Nashville. Tell Mr. Jackson the information that he provided as
to our hotel accommodations was appreciated. Not only being nice and
comfortable it was most convenient to the farm. With your farm being
only 20 minutes from our Nashville hotel accommodations making our
morning appointment with you on time was a breeze. Wish that Linda and I
would have had more time to spend and enjoy the activities in Nashville.
Oh well, maybe the next time. From Pine Mountain in Alabama it made just
for a good overnight outing for Linda and I.
My wife Linda and I are certainly enjoying Mindy the TWH bred mare that
we found on your Internet ad. Mindy as described on the Internet seemed
to be the horse that we were looking for. Linda loves horses and being
able to have a smooth horse to ride was our main goal in purchasing a
new horse . Mindy certainly meets that requirement.
Linda and I really appreciate your interest in seeing that we were
looking at the right horse for our specific needs. From my initial
communication with you I felt you to be a very professional horse person
who knows her stuff. After several e-mails back and forth I began to
feel a simple trust in your judgment as to our needs. I believed from
our communication that your interest was more than just selling a horse.
I felt that you wanted to match a horse with the right new owners. I
also found it comforting to feel that I was dealing with a seller that
was knowledgeable of horses as a whole and individually. With that being
said I am very glad that I purchased Mindy without ever having seen
Mindy in the flesh. I would have been disappointed in looking back and
not making that telephone call to you and sealing the deal to purchase
Mindy. I feel that when Linda saw Mindy in her stall after arriving at
your barn it was love at first sight. Yes, Linda and I are two very
satisfied customers. In the event we decide in the future to purchase
another TWH we will definitely be contacting you and Stonewall Horse
Farm to fill the bill.
As I made you aware of from the very outset we are owners and breeders
of registered quarter and paint horses and have been for years. Linda
and I own and have owned some of the very best bred quarter and paint
horses, but have never been interested in showing ourselves. You know
there is a certain amount of pride in knowing that your horse herd is
comprised of world champion bloodlines. I feel certain that Stone Wall
Horse Farm owner Jim Jackson, as well as yourself, feels that same pride
in the champion bloodlines that is to be found in your herd. With those
great bloodlines and your excellent starting and training program you
are able to accomplish and bring out each horses best. If anyone wants a
great bred and well trained Tennessee Walking Horse you can rest assured
that I will be sending them your way.
In my initial communication to you via e-mail I advised you that I was
looking for a gentle, well bred, smooth gaited horse for my wife to
ride. The reason for our interest in a gaited horse was my wife Linda's
back problems. We did no require what you and others refer to in TWH
circles as a "Big Lick" horse. Our requirements for a new horse purchase
were gentleness, correct in conformation, great bloodlines, reasonably
priced, and be smooth, smooth, smooth. Also, we wanted a Tennessee
Walker that could be trail ridden along with our non-gaited quarter and
paint horses. No requirement in our horse purchase agenda for a horse to
be exhibited in shows. Linda and I love going to shows and watching
others exhibit their horses with pride and joy.
Lauren, we wish your continued success in your personal life as well as
your horse career. You were wonderful to work with. Hope to hear from
you sometimes. Pick me out another good horse or two that you think may
interest me and e-mail me the information. Linda and I would love to get
back up to Stonewall Horse Farm and see you again sometimes.
I would be happy to be used as a satisfied customer reference if you
ever find the need.
Best Wishes and Many Thanks,

I purchased a black Tennessee Walking Horse
gelding from Stonewall Farm not too long ago and I can't say enough
about his excellent breeding. Not only is he a beautiful,
well-proportioned horse with a gorgeous head, thick mane & tail, but he
is equally sweet in temperament. "Maverick" or "Black" as he was called
was obviously well-trained and ridden extensively on varied terrain as
he rarely balks to go forward at any obstacle. Smooth as silk gaits and
a rocking chair canter that is delightful to ride. Courageous and steady
he has carried me over many miles. I would gladly buy another from Jim &
Lauren, it has been a great experience! Thank You!

I just wanted to let you know how much I
appreciated your help & knowledge about the purchase of the perfect
Tennessee Walker trail horse to meet my needs. You were very helpful...I
remember asking you about the bit the gelding I was purchasing was used
to & you even sold me his bit. You went above & beyond to see that I was
happy & my new horse was happy.
All the best to you & your farm,

I am feeding him 1 1/2 three lb cans of strategy twice a day with all
the hay he can eat and 12 hours of turn out on grass. He is gaining
weight and has plenty of energy I am just working on head set and

WE LOVE OUR “CHROME”!!!!!!
I had been looking for another walking horse with some pusher blood in
him. After almost a 2 year search, we found him. I wanted something tall
and strong with personality. By the looks of his picture on the website
he was the one. I contacted Jim and Lauren and spoke with them both for
more information. Normally, I would never buy a horse without riding him
first but after speaking with Lauren and Jim I felt assured that things
would go great. Site un-seen, I sent money and made the 11 hour drive
from Fort Worth, Texas to Ashland City, Tennessee and Boy was it a
drive.
Chrome was more than we had expected which was even more exciting. He
was awesome. So, back to TEXAS we go….our trip was long, but he was
great in the trailer. Of course we stopped about 4 times unloading and
he never hesitated to jump back in. Chrome is a smooth as silk,
excellent manners, Loves to be bath, great for the farrier, and loves
people and not one bad habit. He can go “0 to 60” in less than a minute
and you just sit back and enjoy. He is every bit and more of what we
were told. He has lightened up our lives and is a pure joy. Thanks to
Jim and Lauren, their honesty and dedication to having only the best
horses to offer those of us out here that LOVE the Glide Ride. I would
never hesitate to buy another horse from these wonderful people. Thanks
again to you both.

I took Roy on his first trail ride yesterday. He
far exceeded my expectations. We crossed many water crossings went
through mud and he was not nervous going out alone at all. He loves to
drink water and drank at every water crossing we came across. We even
encountered a deer on our way back and he just pricked his ears and kept
about his business. He has a good ground covering walk that is for sure.
He is everything and more that you told me he was over the phone. Thanks
for making purchasing a horse sight unseen so easy!
Have a great day!
Lisa
