Horse:
Pusher's My Papa Too
SOLD-Thank you!
-
''Papa'' is a three year old, black, Tennessee
Walking Horse gelding. When I say he is smooth, this horse is smooth. We
have been raising, breeding, and training Tennessee Walkers for 10 years
or more now and ride many horses a day on a daily basis and this is the
smoothest horse I have ever sat on! Papa is really something. Papa has
just began trail riding about one month ago (Feb 2008) and since he has
been camping overnight for two days, and had many miles put on him. As
of 3/24/08, we just returned from ''boot camp'' (so to speak) in the
Great Smoky Mountains Nat'l Park. There I personally rode this horse all
three days we were there. We rode for 15 miles a day and this horse has
NO quit in him. While the other horses were dragging and getting sloppy
with their gaits, this horse NEVER let up and carried me smoothly the
entire day each day. You can't call a horse broke until you are riding
on an 18 inch trail with a 200 ft. drop off to your left and a mountain
on your right and come up on hikers from the opposite direction wearing
bright orange, yellow, and red, and this horse walked right past them!
There as well as here at home Papa has encountered crossing big logs,
deep water, and passes by traffic, deer, and other wildlife. I think
this horse would make a field trialer very happy! He is very eager to
learn and learns quickly. I personally, take this horse out by himself
on the trails and he does wonderfully. He also rides well with others.
Papa carries himself the way a walking horse should and responds well to
all aids. He has a high motor and can go all day long. He is real
muscley built and strong. Papa really is a gorgeous animal who is the
epitome of a Tennessee Walker. SERIOUS INQURIES ONLY, VIDEO AVAILABLE
UPON REQUEST. Papa is currently being trained at our "sister" farm in
Kentucky for light plantation. This horse has so much natural talent we
decided to enter him into a few shows. He is still for sale of course
but I am unable to price him at this time. Please feel free to inquire
about him if interested. Lauren (Tennessee) will answer any questions
about Papa regarding trails and Melanie (Kentucky) can answer any
questions regarding his show training progress.
