Horse:
Pusher's Daisy Delight
SOLD-Thank you!
-
Pusher's Daisy Delight, or Daisy May as we call her,
is a 15hh, black, 3 year old, registered Tennessee Walking Horse. This
mare was born on this farm, raised on this farm, and I broke her myself.
If you want to call it ''breaking''. When Daisy May turned 19 months
old, I brought her in from the pasture, put her in the crossties, put a
saddle on her back, a bridle on her head, and rode out of the barn and
rode her the first time for 30 minutes on her own all around the farm.
She has only progressed from there. This filly has a perfect motor for
the trails. She is eager to learn and be worked with . She is the
friendliest, sweetest horse on the farm now that we have sold her dam,
Stonewall's Stargazer. Daisy will come to anyone from anywhere, even if
you have a bridle and a saddle in your arms! She LOVES attention. Like
all of our horses, she is easy to shoe, ride, saddle/unsaddle, tack,
groom, bathe, clip, mount/dismount, and administer worming or shots.
This mare does not have a single vice as I have used her as my personal
horse since she was of riding age and she has received a LOT of personal
attention from me. I am really not looking forward to selling her BUT
that is my job, to raise and train TWHs and sell them all over the
country to good homes! It's going to be difficult for us to one day see
her loaded up in a trailer with her new family and drive off the farm ;)
This mare is SMOOTH! She has a rocking horse canter that she will get
into without hesitation. She also has a running walk to die for. At a
mere dog walk, this mare really covers ground as she is so long strided,
but not pacey or swingy in the least! She is now being ridden by a 9
year old girl who is just learning to ride horses. Daisy May is the not
the only two year old we have on the farm a child could ride, but the
girl really likes her sweet disposition (and that she eats treats from
her hand). We put Chelsea on her in the big arena ( information on where
to find video of this below) and let her go. Daisy has never done a bad
thing in her life and takes perfect care of this child. But she is no
dead head. I ride her more than anyone and I like a little ''get up and
go'' and Daisy does that for me as well without much more prompting than
a cluck. Her confirmation is ideal. She has the most beautiful head and
face with sweet, expressionate eyes and the cutest, hooked little ears!
She has a lean-muscular body and great big, strong saucer feet. She has
a long, thick tail and mane too! She is and has always been on regular
keg shoes all around. This mare is up to date on all shots and worming
and has never had so much as a cold in her entire life. Check out her
bloodlines!! You will find Generator's Fame, Pride's Generator, Pride of
Midnight, Drug Dealer, The Pusher C.G., Midnight Sun, Sun's Delight, and
finally Motown Magic!!!! You won't find these names in the fourth or
fifth generation either. They're all right there and one look at her and
one ride on her and you'll see and feel what these great bloodlines have
done for her! Daisy May can be ridden everyday or ten times a year and
she will be the same horse everyday. She does not spook at anything on
the trails and crosses water, walks through wet/muddy fields, rides
alone, rides in a group, rides around our barn without wanting to act up
b/c she is near her ''room'', rides next to the cattle fields, rides
next to the road with traffic passing, has been exposed to deer and
turkey and dogs (even a SNAKE!), and does it all effortlessly. This
little mare had been on a three day long camping trip to Bucksnort, TN
where she was tethered, stalled in unfamiliar territory, rode through
the noisy/busy camp sites on the way to the trail head. She rode through
cow pastures with cows on ever side of her and baby calves running
around her and did not budge! I truly cannot say enough good things
about Daisy May. I love her because she has so much personality, because
she has always done everything I've asked and learns quickly! I don't
currently have any video of her at this time but will as soon a s we get
some dry weather! I have additional photos upon request. The photo
posted on this ad was taken in April 2009 after she had been ridden, so
she is a little sweaty in her photo. As soon as I create the video of
her riding, I will post it on this ad. I have a feeling that this mare
won't be available long so if this sounds like the horse you're looking
for call me and let me know, try and take my word for what I'm saying
about her, and don't sit around waiting on the video~ a lot of folks
wont' and someone who needs a horse like this to have fun, maybe lacks
some confidence, or is just starting out trail riding or getting into
horses, and have a lifelong friend needs to consider purchasing this
mare. Video available at
